Kicks my ass. Seriously- I really don't know how I manage to get everything done even half way, much less part way. Until anime matsuri.. it feels like I'm going to be the walking dead. I should be in bed now but I'm tryin' to get my room clean so I don't keep loosing needles in the living room and gettin' jessica's feet [sorry Jess! I try SO hard to get all those things but they always seem to I dunno.. teleport or something. I love you and will buy you copious amounts of uh.. icecream?]

So just as a note- To everyone that is lookin for me to go to concerts, parties, fashion things... If I end up having to say no, or I don't answer a message or a call or something like that- I promise.. it's not me avoiding you, I just got wrapped up in things and couldn't handle more to do.

-pants and shirt due wednesday [that's right.. wednesday. Luckily on my pants all I have to do is sew together the seams and hem it. Thank god.
-finish up my dress, coat, and red dress for the fashion show. Bah. That's due next week. My life. It is fantastic.

On top of all that, there's all the random small things I need to do for friends- sketches and jackets and various other small things.

Huzzah for hour long phone conversations with Courtney in teh span it takes to get to Celeste's house for Rogues Coalition meeting. Also huzzah for My lovely Peta un-approved use of lambskin for gloves, and use of uh.. cow skin? For hot, hot pants to go with my hot-hot wool coat- not to forget the Hurray for weird steampunk purse using said leather, acrylic sheeting, brass rods, and a metric ton of rivets.

PS- I've been good with updating my journal. So proud of me. Today I did productive things and watched more Escaflowne on what has become 'spring break in which Jesse does nothing but homework and revist her roots in anime and write LJ posts while tired and/or slightly tipsy on screwdrivers.'

PS- WHOO. I need to upload the sketches for the goddess designs that I'll be enterin' with at dragon con. Though I'm thinkin' we might need more than the three of us scantily clad sexy ladies and perhaps some sort of Man-boy-thing [Lovely diction all around!] to help us around stage and fetch water. Ok, maybe not fetch water... But the point is given. Wonderful costume must be had for said fellow.. hm. Maybe another lady too. Priestess or something. I WILL MAKE AN ENTIRE CAST SET FOR.. UH.. Super fantasy revolution dues ex Talina. Yea, that's what we'll call it.

PS. Akon. Queen Emeraladas. IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN, DAMNIT. [mostly because the whole 'I'm NOT GOING TO AKON THIS YEAR' suddenly became 'ok, we're going to akon' when little sister reminded me that I'm not going to afest this year, and therefore still owe her a con. Which means I should probably get her a steampunk costume assembled for the friday night shindig. Oh lawd. Sewing. I look into the future and all I see is... sewing. and suddenly this added little quip to Queenness became an entire sentence!]

Hokay, so I'm going to be returning to Nero [thanks, Garrett. I blame this fully on you for reminding me how much fun it was through.. well, practically doing nothing. SON OF A, -shakes fist-]

the reason I haven't watced anime in ages was because I don't really connect with the new stuff. I mean.. I like it, but not so much that I'd buy it.

But good god do I love captain herlock. and mobile suit gundam. and .. well, I'm sure y'all get it.

BUT SDKJFSD captain herlock. that's a sexy anime man.

As I've mentioned in various locations that do not include LiveJournal, working towards my senior collection is little under a year away. A year! Some might think this is a good distance but really.. that also means I'm a year from graduating. I've pretty much concluded that I'd like to do an online shop on the side of whatever job I land myself into for the experience while I begin working towards opening a boutique geared towards more alternative fashion [high end alternative, however. None of that hot topic business for me!]

This is where I need my good friends here on the magical land of LJ to help out. This summer I plan to do a very limited amount of design work for people I know, small shows, etc. etc. Hats, accessories, jewelry and all in between. If anyone is interested in this limited affair please let me know. It'll be base [read: very base] labor and materials cost and therefore at a rather descent price, as I will also require that there be participation in photo shoots so that I can work towards building a meatier portfolio- which would also mean letting me do the bulk of the design. Obviously you can say 'what the hell that is not even what I'm looking for' and then make me redraw.. but I'd still like to be able to put it in my portfolio without half worrying that I'm taking credit for something I didn't design.

If you're interested, or think you might be and want to discuss, please let me know. I'll do my best to work out whatever questions you have, along with beginning to take reservations on designs.

Otherwise known as "Consuming your weight in alcohol while wearing fabulous clothing" [which is, surprisingly common. Though I will say the addition of a bustle was a new feature.] I had SO much fun that it really can't be contained in a post.. But man, every year it just seems to get more and more amazing- I wish every convention I go to could be as fun and as uplifting as All con is. Seriously; you can tell things are different when you're there. So many people win awards, so many people are just happy to wear a costume.. If I ever had to cut back to one con a year, it'd without a doubt be all con. The fact that people treat me every bit as respectful when I'm... 3 sheets to the wind says leaps and bounds.

Thanks to everyone that made this weekend every bit as awesome as it could be; Every single one of you mean the world to me- I couldn't be more lucky or more thankful to be in this group of friends and community. For real- you are all awesome and beautiful, and no matter what bullshit comes crashing into our lives, we're all here for each other.

I bought cyborg 009 last week and.. I've watched it a million times. Seriously- I do not think there's another anime that I love as much as I love cyborg 009, and I need to finally get off my arse and work on a costume from it. Cyborg 003, beotches!

*If you have a tent and have extra space for someone please let me know. If you plan on buying a tent, walmart has some for like.. 15$ or something. They're kids tents but they're long enough for most average people to sleep alright. the've got the adult tents for 25$


Each person, in order to contribute to both food and drink need to bring food items. Post beneath this what you're willing to bring so that we don't have like.. a million buns or something. Of course, it goes without saying that if you plan on fending for yourself to eat, you don't have to contribute. But if you're planning on cooking, plan on either bringing some food supplies or 5-10$ so that it's fair to everyone.

The same goes for alcohol- Bring a bottle of booze, or a case of smirnoff or something to contribute- that way there's variety in what we all can drink, but one person isn't covering the cost for all of the camp to get drunk. Naturally you don't actually have to.. but if you don't give a bit, don't expect to be drinking from the stock.

If anyone has any tiki tourches lying around.. bring 'em! we wanna be all awesome and cool this year with a bitchin set up!

Alright- we're about a week and a half away from the big trip to TRF, and we all need to plan!

We need to figure out how many people we have, how many people own tents, tables, chairs, etc.


We've picked out a spot to put our camp at- a nice, flat place that's not so far from the fun stuff to do that we're tired from walking.. but we need to figure out how much space to rope off.

So, if you plan on going and camping with the big ole group, please tell me! and, if you're willing to bring anything- let me knows as well..


Though do note: Since there are -so- many people going, we all need to split the cost of alchohol. so everyone should bring a bottle or two, or a pack or two, that way we have plenty. If you don't plan on drinking, then you're excluded from this.

The pages of Fruits spring to life before the very eyes of Oni-Con Attendees. Audience, as well as participants are given an upfront and personal look into the edgy and daring attire of Japanese street fashion genres. Catagories include- but are not limited to- Lolita, Decora, Ganguro, Aristocrat, Punk, Visual-Kei, and more. Rules:

1. This is a fashion event- meaning that all pieces must be designed and/or an original craft made by the contestant. Attire that is collected from various sources must be cited as such.

2. Designers are welcome to have a model wear their designs- however- the creator must be present to recieve recognition.

3. Only genres of Japanese fashion may enter.

4. Lying in any shape or form on the origin of a garment will be recieved as a form of artistic infringement, and is an imediate grounds for disqualification, and dismission from future events.

School is -almost- done! Finally.. Grah.. it's been killing me, slowly- one day at a time, one project at a time.. XDD

Other than that, my classes are going pretty well, besides textiles- but that doesn't count, because it has evil-bitch-woman as a teacher.

I'm not really sure what costumes I'm doing for akon.. and if I enter, it'll probably just be in something fun so I can get to just go chill with everyone behind stage. But.. probably.. I wont be there to enter.. there's no need to go pay 25 dollars, wait in line.. and all that, when I can just hang out with everyone around the convention.

I've been so bored this week. Julie's been gone, so I can't bother her all the time with random shiz. Though I did just buy a new keyboard because I droped a dr pepper into it. (yes, into it. the bottom of the keyboard leaked it was that bad)

anyways, Last weekend was amazin. went to the renfaire all weekend, hung out with Candice then headed over to her house. I ganked her computer, wrote some rp posts, and we watched a man drown himself over and over in the name of SCIENCE (and magic).



I've TOTALLY not started on Anime matsuri cosplay, mostly because UNT is eating my soul. If I'm not working on projects, I'm on the computer relaxin. If I'm not doing that.. well, I'm sleeping. Just no time for cosplay this semester because of the amount of classes I had to take on because of fashion design.
